Yesterday we were at the Navy Pier listening to a band from Asheville, NC, playing rock music with Ivory Coast elements.

We’d spent two days absorbing the atmosphere of Chicago and enjoying the company of a new friend. Everything smooshed into a concept (title, some events, a general plotline, some characters) for a NaNo novel. I’m not sure I’m fully comfortable with it or confident that I can carry it out.

I’ll kick that one around for a little while. I would also like to write more about the characters I evolved in the last novel.
