Indexing class
September 27th, 2006 by rivercrow
After nearly two years of thinking about it, I am finally enrolled in an indexing class. Once I decided this was something that interested me, it only took me a couple months to pare down which program to follow.
My instructors in the graduate program are bemused at me. I’m taking this semester off of the program specifically to take this class and to work on my CISA. I realized time will be tight going forward–will the NaNo novel happen? I hope so– but I am up for the effort.
The lecture materials from last night were well-written and exciting. I’ve been playing with metadata for some time in directory services and computer forensics–it seems like a natural progression for me from one to another. Even my interests in sematics and semiotics (and Wittgenstein and Derrida) can be traced over to an interest in metadata. What else is there in life?
