The whole point of this post was to learn to make things float. I’m still learning CSS, but I’m getting better at it.

After I figured it out, I realized I’d like to leave a post with a float here.

If you’re thinking about trying NaNo, No Plot, No Problem is a great field guide for the experience. Almost as good as having your own NaNo group at your side. Chris discusses pitfalls and gotchas, suggests ways to get on track and stay there, and cheers you on as you go. It’s probably at your local library; I’d suggest ordering a used copy if you can, to keep it beside you.

I have to admit, I was skeptical when I first flipped through the book. It didn’t seem like it would help much. I was surprised. I think No Plot, No Problem had as much to do with my success as hanging out with the local NaNo group. Put a bunch of writers in a coffee shop and you’re bound to have distractions, chatter, socializing–all those things that make writing with a bunch of people fun and frustrating!

Looks like I won’t be doing NaNo this year, I am working 12 hour days that should continue right throught that month (my birthday too!).

I recently bought “Artist’s Way” of Amazon.com, it should get here sometime next week. It looks interesting.

Took me a while to respond because I kept getting sidetracked.

I thought that title sounded familiar! I have the 1992 version back in my book case. I can’t remember it too well…. That’s been a while, hasn’t it?

Now I have to dig that out, too. Between that, the reading list that Kuranes is giving me, and all…. Sheesh. :)
