Today we discussed topics. For hours. The more we talked, the more ideas we generated. Old ideas get rehashed and re-formed. Old dreams get revived. We’re getting a direction in mind.

He wondered would I be willing to keep editing his stuff and working on his site. I told him not to worry about that. To be honest, I’m enjoying not having to create content and just work on editing and presentation.

Late last week I suggested dropping his permissions down so he didn’t have the whole administration dashboard to confuse him. He agreed. I like the idea of simplifying the dashboard for him so he can concentrate on adding content.

Still, things remain to be tested. Why does the spell check not seem to work for him? Why do words in the edit box seem to get sliced off on the right edge?

I left him today with challenges. Come up with a mission statement and some topic areas. Start generating content on a regular basis. Determine what a “regular basis” means to him. Look at blogs he likes and see what seems to work–what excites him. Not to emulate and rework, but to spark ideas.
