Building blogs: For a friend, Part 4
October 31st, 2006 by rivercrow
The structure of the site is complete. I made some final adjustments–fixed the spell check, fixed the CSS–and now he’s got content to write.
Lots of content.
If he’s listening….
I’ve started commenting on what his posts. This is hard–it’s easier to just email or talk about it. The rich discussions we have away from the public sphere get pared down to essential comments. No rambling, no wandering. Stick to the topic. Very difficult.
He’s started inviting people to his blog. For me, this means he’s claiming it as his, not just some other thing someone saddled him with. It’s a good feeling, watching his friends drop by in the IP logs.
Content. And content.
