NaNoWriMo 2006
October 31st, 2006 by rivercrow
NaNoWriMo begins tomorrow.
The kickoff party this past Saturday was fun. Twenty or so people, all ready to work. People who have never done NaNo have no idea how much fun the event is.
People who hear of NaNo either think we are all crazy or consider the event overrated.
I had a bystander ask me what the kickoff was for. When I explained, she said that it didn’t sound too difficult. Hm. Okay.
So, I handed her a kickoff kit and invited her to join us.
I think everyone should try this, at least once. Even if you don’t get past 600 words, try it. See how it feels to say “I’m going to write a novel this month.”
I also got roped into being was asked to sponsor the northside Saturday Write-In. So, if any of you readers came here from my NaNo profile, you now officially know you’re in the right place.
I will not edit. Not for a whole month.
