MBTI Qualifying 1 Class

The first step for the MBTI Qualifying class is to take the MBTI instrument. The instructions say that we will get them back in class. We’re going to learn to score the tests, so I wonder if we will score the tests in class. Will we score ourselves or each other?

I last took the MBTI in 2000. I tested as INTJ then. I took it originally in 1987 and tested as INTP. I’m curious about what this suggests. Maybe work moved me to prefer closure and scheduling. If that’s true, then how do the processes fit in?

For example:
INTP:

  • Ti=Dominant
  • Ne=Auxiliary
  • Si=Third
  • Fe=Fourth

INTJ

  • Ni=Dominant
  • Te=Auxiliary
  • Fi=Third
  • Se=Fourth

So, this is not a simple change from preferring open-endedness to preferring closure.

My husband is ISFJ.
ISFJ

  • Si=Dominant
  • Fe=Auxiliary
  • Ti=Third
  • Ne=Fourth

Do you see the disconnect between him and me? I’ve been watching as his third and fourth processes (my dominant and auxiliary) emerge. For me, this is validation that the theory works–just as much as being involved in the great experiment of INTPC proved to me that INTPs and Enneagram 5s do work in similar ways.
