Conceiving intuition
March 26th, 2007 by rivercrow
Intuition is the clear conception of the whole at once.
Johann Kaspar Lavater, Swiss theologian, 1741-1801
I found this quote on ThinkExist. It’s the same usage of the word “intuition” that Jung uses in his personality theory…. I should research it to see if there is a connection.

I thought that the definition left by Jung was more along the lines of connections within your subconcious to things which are being thought about. I do remember something about human minds being interconnected and being aware of this connection but I think that was the wrong pipe weed he had that day
Hmm let me know if your research turns up anything good. I’m always looking for better ways to illustrate intuition from the MBTI perspective.
I think you’re referring to the collective unconscious. I’m referring to the perceiving function called “iNtuition.”
Actually, I’ve been asked to discuss the functions in more depth. I’m only an egg, but the process of putting my knowledge and understanding into my own words would be as useful to me as it might be to you.
Your very strange. Egg?? Yoiu claiming to be Ludwig or something?
Anyhow there was a piece in the Jung book I have about iNtuition being a process which interacts with the persons subconcious and the person links in information based on subconsious links as well as concious ones. Basically it explains how you make intuitive leaps in a logical and very INTP manner. It’s not mystical, it’s things stored in your subconcious being linked in to this new subject.
Makes sense when you think about it.
