Today we thought the dog had burst a stitch.
What’s bad about this is that she was sewn up with a running stitch. In a running stitch, if one stitch goes, the rest can follow.

The dog has been ill lately.
In September, she was very sick. Could keep no food or water in or down. She became dehydrated. She ended up on antibiotic and anti-nausea medications.

A baby robin and its parent were in the middle of the road on the way home. It was just a fledgling, primaries and tail stubby, chest still spotty.
They could have been flattened. I stopped dead in the road, and picked the little one up.

15 pounds and dainty bones, freshly groomed and shaved, white with long silky fur…but she’s a dog.
It’s spring and the conies are nesting under the shed. Where is the dog? She’s exploring under the shed or rolling in the coney droppings.
