There was a box turtle on the back patio this morning. The dog paused to look at it, which is what caught husband’s attention.
I fixed a plate of overripe banana and watermelon chunks. The turtle ate all the banana chunks and left the watermelon. When the fruit was gone, it wandered off.
Many years ago in the States, unscrupulous dairy farmers added whitewash (think Tom Sawyer) to milk to disguise the fact that the milk had been watered down.
French wine in the 50s and 60s was occasionally laced with antifreeze.

Husband noticed this little guy beside the door. It’s a 1/4 inch orb weaver. While I was taking pictures, a small stinging fly landed in the web, so I got an action shot.
The fly got away though.
